Radionet - Windows Tryout

System requirements:

Radionet has been tested Microsoft™ Windows 98 (1st ou 2nd edition), Windows NT 4.0 (with Service Pack 5 or over), Windows ME, Windows 2000 Professionel (with Service Pack 2 or over) and Windows XP.

System requirements: A Pentium 200 (or equivalent like AMD™) or faster processor is required with at least 128 megabytes of physical RAM to run Radionet.
Running with less memory may cause disk swapping which has a severe effect on performance. For adequate performance, at least a Pentium 400MHz (or equivalent like AMD™) and 256 megabytes of RAM is recommended.

Download:

Download the auto-install and save it where you want.

Installation:

Double-click on the file to start the installation. The programm will be installed by default in C:\Radionet, but you can change this (C:\where_you_want).

Start Radionet:

The installer has created a shortcut:

After launched Radionet, a dialog box will appear :

For your first use of Radionet, you have to configure your connection. Click on the button "Configuration ".

Supply the fields "Scito Download Server" (i.e. www.scito.com) and "Scito Session Server" (i.e. demo).

Then test your parameters via the tab "Test of the configuration".

-Memory: Radionet need at least 128 Mb to run correctly.

-Internet: Radionet need an internet connection or at least an intranet if the data server is localized on your intranet.

-DNS: the domain name resolution is not required by Radionet, but you should enter on the field "Scito download server" an I.P. adress (i.e. 134.157.184.162) instead of a domain name (i.e. www.scito.com).

-Ports: Some local ports need to be open.
For the Scito session server Scito / "demo", the local ports are 3838, 3839, 50001, 50002 and 50003.

The most frequent problems are du to a connection through a firewall. Be sure that all the required ports are open like writen above.
If you cannot quickly solve your problem using the information in this section, or you need more help, please contact us or your administrator for further assistance.

Click on "e;Close"e; to hide the configuration window and on to start Radionet.

The software updates itself automatically then you have to enter your identification name and password:
Enter your user name and password given by Scito ( if you don't have already one, please contact scito at info@scito.com ) then click on "Login".
